The full story

Most play sofas end up in the playroom. Loaf stays in the living room.

It begins with the shape. A low, softly rounded sofa, 120 cm wide and 38 cm high, with backrests that lean back in a quarter curve and armrests low enough for small arms. Sized to sit beside your sofa, not replace it.

Then the cloth. Wide wale corduroy, Cream on a Sand base, like the plinth under a grown up sofa. No logos, no prints, nothing that fights the room. The covers come off for washing.

And then they take it apart. Ten pieces of high density memory foam become a car, a fort, two small sofas or a stepping path, and go back together as a sofa before the guests arrive. For children from 9 months to 7 years.

furniture first.

Most play sofas look like play equipment. Loaf is shaped like a small sofa, in the cloth and colours you would choose for the rest of the room.

  • Wide wale corduroy on every piece, soft to touch, in two quiet tones.
  • Cream on Sand. A Sand base under a Cream seat, like the plinth under a sofa.
  • Soft curves. Backrests that lean back in a quarter curve, and low, rounded armrests.
  • Quiet on purpose. No logos or prints, nothing that clashes with the room.
